My cuticles look awful.  Why do I never notice this until after I remove polish and upload pictures?

This GITD polish was provided for review which I do plan to do in the future.  I was going to do it last weekend, but it ended up being a clusterfoch.  Next weekend.. yes.

Rainbow Honey - Oni

Oni is so rich and pretty.  It just reeks of fall to me.

2 coats no topcoat.

I decided to try some layering combinations.  From left to right: NYX Gilded Glitter, Lippmann Boom Boom Pow, ChG Cleopatra and OPI GoldenEye.  All are 1 coat with no topcoat.

Here are some random single finger shots that look kind of creepy to me.

Gilded Glitter

 Boom Boom Pow

Boom Boom Pow

Gilded Glitter.  This picture looks so gross to me near the cuticle :|

GoldenEye.  I could have gone a little less dense, I think the coat was too thick.

Oni was provided for review.

OPI - GoldenEye vs. Orly - Glitz and Glamour

I was instantly enamoured with GoldenEye.  I have been on the gold train lately! CHOO CHOO.  Glitz and Glamour has been my absolutely favourite gold for some time now.  When I saw GoldenEye I thought that they were quite similar, and I was not wrong, but they are not dupes.

Both GoldenEye and Glitz and Glamour are particulate gold foils, GoldenEye much more so.  Glitz and Glamour is much more dense and requires less coats.  Glitz and Glamour is also a lot more warm toned to my eye.

I haz been playing with some of my golds this weekend..

Anyhoo!  Here we have GoldenEye and Glitz & Glamour at 1 coat each.  I will take this time to warn you that cleanup with these bitches is, well, a bitch.  If you don't do it immediately after polishing, the polish starts to set and it will pull as you clean it up (I experienced this).  If you wait too long, you will be sitting there for an hour essentially just moving the particles from ON your nail to AROUND your nail and on your skin (I also experienced this).

GoldenEye is on the pointer and ring.  As you can see, it is far less dense.

Here they are at 2 coats each.  This is a horrible picture, but you get the idea that even at 2 coats GoldenEye has not reached his full potential.  Glitz and Glamour is shining bright on 2 coats though.

Here we have Glitz and Glamour holding strong at 2 coats with GoldenEye at 3 coats and probably needing 4.

So as you can see they are not dupes.  They are very similar though.  Glitz and Glamour leans a bit more yellow/warmer to my eye.

I decided to try out some crack I have been sitting on, no pun intended.  I bought this Bourjois Python crack from Shoppers the other day.  I spent something obscene like $10 bucks on it.  I am obviously going to need to play around with it for a bit as it does not look like snakeskin to me.  I think it cracks bigger over wetter polish.  I didn't wait for this stuff to dry 100%.  I actually screwed up the pinky and had to redo it so that one is the wettest, and it cracked the biggest.  The pointer had the thinnest coat, and it was the one that cracked the finest.. must fiddle.

What I do like about this crack is that it is a jelly.  It looks like a candy apple almost over these golds.

I need to suck it up and go get that Dior croc crack if it's even still being sold.  Yeah yeah I still like crack.  I wear it once in a blue frigging moon though.  The above is without topcoat by the way.  It could have used a few layers :\ Pin It

Pretty Serious Hit 1000 Facebook Likes = SWEET!

I don't know how many times I am going to have to redo this stupid post.  It keeps changing the colour of my text and being all whacky in general.  Anyhoo,

A little while ago, Pretty Serious hinted that if they reached 1000 likes on Facebook, we would get to know what this was all about:

Well, Pretty Serious recently reached 1000 likes on Facebook.  Thus, we get this fabulous preview shot of what is coming up in November!! (I am now dead)

*Dances around like a tool*

I'm still waiting for the Monster Mash collection and Emma Louise in the mail.  I will be swatching those babies asap upon arrival!

If you haven't already, go like Pretty Serious on Facebook!

Rainbow Honey - The Yokai Collection - Kitsune

I have to leave for work in 3 minutes.  Actually, I should have left 2 hours and 3 minutes ago.  Sorry that these pics are indoors.  I do prefer natural light.

The lines are freehanded (obviously) with stripers.  They are a little gimpy, but whatevz!  Taken in various indoor lighting.  2 coats with 1 coat Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and 1 coat SV.  Kitsune is a touch gritty so it does need that extra layer of something before the SV IMHO.

Kitsune, the magical white fox.

Yay! I need to learn some new hand poses.  I also need to moisturize my hands before I take pictures *squints*.  Kitsune has a wicked golden shimmer that is not hidden.  It is all the colours of fall.  Fabulous.  It looks a bit like creme brulee to me.  I love it!  I was most excited about this one.  I am stoked to swatch the other two though ;)

Kitsune can be purchased at Rainbow Honey for $10 per bottle.  I love the Rainbow Honey bottles and boxes.  Super professional looking for an "indie".

ManGlaze - ILF + CrowsToes - I Make the Path

This is my last ManGlaze instalment until I get more ManGlaze, alternately, until I do another ManGlaze mani with my existing ManGlaze.

I just want to take a minute to pay some respect to the bottles.
1) Square.
2) Fabulous bottle art.
3) Label on the top of the frigging bottle.

I have quite enjoyed the formula on all of these.  It dries fast, but not so fast that you can't work with it a little if you bork it a bit.  I definitely must purchase more.  I will save up like a Responsible Adult.

2 coats ILF

I added 1 coat of CrowsToes I Make the Path (adore) no topcoat.

I then put one coat of an American Apparel Sheer that I do not think has a name.. but is green. LOVE!

Much respect to the kitty who gifted this to me *pets*
